Vanilla Buttercream

Ingredients:
3 sticks of butter, room temperature
1lb of powdered sugar, sifted
1 tsp of vanilla extract, the clear kind to keep it white
3 tbsp. of water as needed

Directions:
To make the buttercream, start by creaming the butter and vanilla until fluffy. Then slowly add the powdered sugar. The key to a perfect buttercream is: PATIENCE! You have to be patient. If you dump it all in at once, two things will happen. A) You won't get the right consistency. 2) You'll end up wearing the powdered sugar. Both not okay! So, you have to show your buttercream some attention and love, like you would a woman! If the frosting becomes too thick, add a tbsp. of water in at a time. Again, give the buttercream time to do its thing. Let it all come together, before adding more water. I've learned that the hard way. BUT good news is, if you add too much water you can always add more powdered sugar. And if you add too much powdered sugar, you can add more water. See how that works? Once it has all come together, you can use the frosting!
